I'm excited. Kendi at Kendi Everyday is doing her 30 for 30 again! I'm excited about it because when I stumbled upon her blog at the end of November she was finishing up a 30 for 30 and I was jealous. I was so jealous that I decided to do my own 30 for 30 starting January 1st. It was, in fact, included in one of my goals here. And, not to mention, I've been successful at remixing and using a limited amount of clothes.

But, my dearest blog readers, I'm scrapping my January 30 for 30 to participate in hers. And, I feel okay doing if for several reasons:

1. I got back in town December 31 and had to ship some of my clothes back to Tampa. Along with that, I didn't have a chance to pick out my 30 items before heading off to a New Years Party. I photographed 28 pieces of clothes after putting a limited amount of thought into it, but I wasn't satisfied.

2. I'm pretty sure I've been working about 18-20 pieces for the last 18 days, and I still never really set my mind to 20.

3. I haven't been diligent about taking pictures of all of my outfits.

4. Most importantly, I want to do it while others are doing it and see what items people are remixing and stay inspired to photograph myself and share my exciting (?) outfits everyday. I LOVE Kendi's blog and her dry sense of humor. Plus, her clothes talk to her and she tells us about it.

Therefore, I feel no sense of remorse or guilt about scrapping my own 30 for 30 to participate in the group challenge. This time I'll actually photograph the items and post daily on the blog. It was literally sad how excited I got when I read her blog post about starting this up again.

You all should do it too!! It will be so much fun and so motivating to see others. If you don't know about it, click on her link and learn. The basic idea is wearing 30 items of clothes for 30 days, but she gives more details, and tells you the little side part about not spending any money on anything clothing or accessory related items for those 30 days. I think I'll just keep not spending money and continue that trend until the end of February.

Here are a few outfits that I did photograph from my own 30 for 30 (note that it was at the beginning). Part of the fun of it is wearing stuff you might not normally wear.
As an aside, I wanted to let all of your organizers out there know that I was successful in completing the bathroom, upstairs, laundry room, and closet this weekend. I also dusted the fans, which is the true sign of cleaning dedication. I will take pictures to post in the next day or two. I got a new camera!!

So, my question for you all. Have you heard of the 30 for 30 challenge? Have you done one or thought of doing one? If you decide to do it, sign up on Kendi's blog and TELL ME so I can look for your outfits!

Ah, I'm scared to do it! Luckily, I'm a nurse so I am in scrubs most of the time!

Ugh, I so wish I could do this, but I wear SCRUBS everyday to work. That would be totally boring. But I look forward to catching yours. LOVE your cardigan in pic #2 and your hairdo in pic #4! :)
