spring and summer beauty products

Hi! It's the fourth day of Amber and my blog challenge! I've been so excited to read so many great posts and shop from other people's suggestions...

Today's question is:
4. What are some recommendations for products you'll be using this spring as you're headed outdoors more?

I have a confession to make...

When I made this question I really wanted to get tips from you all! I find that reading blogs has become my favorite way to shop and find out about new (or new to me) products to try. So, because I would feel badly just mooching off of your products, here are things I'm planning on trying this spring and summer or already do try!
dry shampoo
I've been reading a lot about dry shampoo, and it seems like a great way to ensure the health of your hair while being out in the sun a lot. I watched Linley's tutorial for a knotted bun and saw some extra benefits of using dry shampoo aside from having clean(ish) hair without washing; it seems that dry shampoo adds volume! That's one of the first items on my list to try. Do you use it? What brand?

Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry Touch Sunblock
I use this on my face anytime I'm going to be out in the sun. It doesn't smell like sunscreen, and it doesn't feel like sunscreen. I have literally never gotten burned on my face while wearing this, and it doesn't feel like I'm wearing anything at all. I would highly recommend this if you're looking for a sunscreen. It also lasts a long time because it covers well.

Olay Pro-X advanced cleansing system
I've heard wonders about the Clarisonic, and I've been breaking out like crazy lately. I just don't want to pay almost $200 for something that I don't know the effect it will have. Step in the Olay System. It's $30, and it's been reviewed to be just as good of a system, albeit different in some ways. I want to give it a try. Have you used the Clarisonic? Is it worth it?

Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine Blow Dry Perfector
I again haven't used this product, but I have every intention. It's like a cheaper Keratin treatment for your hair. It's billed to work for 7 blowdrys and to make your time and energy more efficient. When I head to the beach or on vacation I hate when my hair gets frizzy when I need it to be in control, so I'm planning on purchasing this product to use when I need a quick solution. I think it's around $10. I'll save up all my money to one day get the real Keratin treatment...

Tom Ford sunglasses
So, while not a beauty product, it had to be included. I've got several pairs of sunglasses that I love, and I'm not intending to purchase another. However, I absolutely adore all sunglasses made by Tom Ford. If I had endless funds, a pair of his would be an early splurge. Sunglasses in general are so important, though, as they protect your eyes and also keep you from squinting which can produce hair-line wrinkles. So, whatever make or style, don't forget your sunglasses when you head outside!

What are your spring and summer favorite products? I can't wait to find new items to try. Anyone have tips to thicken hair? Or is that something that a girl can only dream about?

And don't forget to link up below!

I use the Olay ProX and love it. I've heard that the Clairisonic is more gentle than the Olay, but my skin isn't very sensitive (and my budget isn't big enough for $200...). I'm fairly certain that the Olay is just as effective if your face can handle the scrubbing. I don't use it more than once or twice a week though, but when I do, my face is SO SOFT!

I love love love my Olay ProX! My skin is so soft from it. TOTALLY worth the $30!

I have the Clarisonic. I've had it for a couple years now and though I notice that it cleans my face even more than my face wash (I use it after I wash my face) I still had breakouts and lg pores. That might be because I wasn't eating great and wasn't drinking enough water daily, where now I am but I haven't started the clarisonic up again after eating healthier and drinking a gallon of water a day...sooo I want it to work so so bad and be awesome like everyone else says it is for them, but it hasn't made me say "wow, my face looks amazing!" Maybe I'll start it up and do a 4 week trial and let you know how it works out. I need to get my money's worth ya know?

I have Maui Jim polarized sunglasses and love them. I'm all about polarized!

I use Tresemme dry shampoo, and I LOVE it! It's amazing, but if you find a brand that works good too, let me know. I'm down for others too :)
Love those sunglasses! I always buy the $15 ones from Target though because I end up losing them, breaking up, or scratching them up, so I'm too nervous to invest in a good, expensive pair!

My friend uses Clarsonic and swears by it. I don't want to pay the money either. I do wonder how well the Olay one works...

Anyway... just found your blog. New follower!!! :)

After breaking my Tom Ford sunglasses in Croatia, I try not to spend over $200 on sunglasses anymore. ;( But Tom Ford's are great.

I've heard wonderful things about the Olay Pro-X advanced cleansing system and think this is something I need to have in the near future. I agree that Tom Ford sunglasses are gorgeous and would love to own a pair too. As far as dry shampoo goes, I use Tresemme. It's cheap and it works well for me. Some of my other spring beauty products that I love and must have are a good matte bronzer. I use one from Bobbi Brown and also the perfect pink lipgloss. I really like Fashion Scoop Cremesheen Glass from MAC.

I love dry shampoo! I have a complete and total love affair with it!
My favorite brand is TIGI Rockaholic Dirty Secrets! Out of all the ones I've tried this is the only one that is worth the money! :-)

I am dying to try dry shampoo. I bought the TreSemme kind a week or so ago but haven't tried it out. My hair is really fine, so I have to wash my hair everyday (and if I am going out after a long day, maybe a second time!). I wanted to try the TreSemme brand before I bought anything more expensive.

Definitely go for the Tom Ford's if you're in the mood for a little splurge. They're definitely worth it.

I have the Olay Pro-X and I'm loving it! I have no point of comparison to the Clarisonic, but I'm liking the Olay very much! Makes my skin very soft! :)
