1.5 pounds and some lemon body scrub

 Another week...more results.

Weight Loss Challenge

This week wasn't as good for me as last week. I am down 1.5 pounds from my weigh-in last Thursday.  So, I'm down 4.5 total. That's .93% from last week and 2.74% overall.

The reason it wans't as good was because I was down 2.5 pounds for a few days this week, but I fell off the exercise wagon and ate a few more calories. My body was just hungry. Nontheless, I'm still pleased with my results. I'm remotivated to see another big loss next Thursday, so I'm really going to check myself.

Here are my thoughts for this week:
1. I still drank water this week, but not as much. I need to be more diligent about carrying around a water bottle all day and continuously drinking from it.
2. I have still been running a lot, but I haven't shredded in a week. I can tell, too. I still feel a little lazy coming back from a run and not doing the Shred. I'm going to recommit to doing the shred 5 times this week. That's a lot, but I'll need it to keep losing at 2 pounds per week.
3. I'm thinking of looking into races to run. I've started reading some running blogs and it really is motivating me to register for a 5k and think about a half marathon in the fall. There's one that I have my eye on in Orlando.

I just need to find more good workout music. My favorites are ones that have the same beat as the pace I'm running. I guess there aren't that many songs out there like that, but I'm looking for the ones that do exist. 

It's Friday for me, by the way. I have tomorrow off! In the spirit of an enjoyable weekend, I wanted to share with you a DIY project I found over at Oh Captain, My Captain yesterday. I'm not crafty, but this looks more like cooking. It's lemon body scrub.

It looks like it would be so fun to buy a few mason jars and make my own body scrub. I've added it to my DIY board on Pinterest. If you're not a crafter, think about following that board. I've found some DIY stuff that I think I could even do.

I've got to get back into it. I've been working out, but I've stopped tracking calories and slacked on water. Need to get back to it today.

I've made brown sugar scrub but not lemon that sou ds great for summer!

I've had a tough week, and although I jumped back on the wagon, I haven't exercised for a few days. Jumping back on (again) today!

1.5 is awesome. :-) At least you kept running, I felt like such a slacker and I even slipped up and had a fast food burger which was NOT good at all... 500+ cal in one burger... agh!

I'm having the same problem with water... if I don't have my water bottle I don't drink. So this weeks goal is to carry the darn thing around EVERYWHERE. :-)

You're doing great girl! I was just thinking today about taking my water bottle to work and constantly filling it up, I have a cute one too, I don't know why I haven't done it already!

Nice going on the 1.5. That's good no matter what. Getting in a 5k sounds like a great idea. Have you seen the hungry runner girl blog? She has a lot of music suggestions.

I'll have to check out the body scrub idea. Love making my own. I've done olive oil and sugar. Works great, just makes my tub slippery. Definitely checking out your suggestion.
