Easter Brunch FF

I'm enjoying my day off and relaxing at home. I've got a fun weekend ahead, including canoeing with the boyfriend's family and going to an Easter Brunch. I love Easter brunches. They're so traditional, and I love that you can always count on them and the pastel dresses that go with them. To stake my own claim in the Easter Brunch outfit, here is my Friday's Fancies. It's basically the dream outfit I would wear if money wasn't a care. Link up with {av} to play along!
My dream Easter Brunch outfit plays with neutrals and light pinks, and I love it.
1. The dress is tibi. I love the strapless and petal look to it, but it definitely couldn't be worn on Easter without 2. a cardigan. The one I picked is from J.Crew and has a bolero look to it. It's still light, though. I will wear it with 3. and 5. which are Van Cleef and Arpels Alhambra pieces. Nothing, in my opinion, quite breaks the bank like Van Cleef. Not sure if I'll ever own a piece, but these are beautiful nonetheless. I'll keep the purse simple with 4. from J.Crew, but my 6. ring will be extravagant. It'll be David Yurman, and it will NOT be cheap. Lastly, and most importantly, the shoes. These are the only thing in this collage that I would see myself owning in the near future. These 7. shoes are from anthropologie, and they're beautiful. They look just like a pair of Prada ones that Emily has.

I hope you like my Easter Brunch outfit. I'll take pictures canoeing, because God knows it'll be a sight to see. Enjoy Good Friday if you have it off, and have a wonderful Easter weekend!

There is a boutique in Boston, Mint Julep (has a NYC location too!) that has similar earrings to these Van Cleef. You can order them online
here . Just thought you may be interested :)

Hi Meghan,

Thank you for the question on my blog regarding veganism! I wanted to try to answer your questions. I became vegan at first, just to see if I could do it. I knew that it was better for the environment and I never agreed with the way that the animals are treated, so it was one of my New Year's resolutions. That being said, my transition was still slow. I spent the last half of 2010 toying around with the idea and building up an arsenal of recipes and non-dairy, non-animal products that I liked to eat. I gave up one thing at a time - first switched to soy creamer, than coconut milk ice cream, then Earth Balance butter, etc. I think this slow transition has been key to my success.

My body reacted really, really well. I haven't had any cravings for meat or dairy at all! I feel the best that I have in my life. I look better than I have in years. My skin stopped breaking out as often, and my allergies lessened. I feel very light and have tons of energy.

There are a lot of great cookbooks out there that I can recommend, but Kind Diet is a good starting place. Is is written by Alicia Silverstone and she explains all the hows and whys of going vegan very well. She even has different stages of veganism that you can follow.

I hope this answers your questions! Veganism comes highly recommended from me, simply because I feel so amazing.

xo,

Sarah

Meghan! Thanks for reminding me about my Van Cleef obsession ;) just kidding, of course! I'm drooling over everything in this outfit! It's so well-done and your collages are making mine look elementary now! Hope you've had a good week and that I'll see another fabulous Friday’s Fancies post from you tomorrow! xoxo {av}
