Organizing my Life: Jewelry

I have so much jewelry it's laughable, but I don't wear it a lot because it's a hot mess piled in different bowls or stuck into different accessory holders. I cannot figure out for the life of me how to best organize my jewelry.

What is important for me is that it is easily viewable, easily accessibly, and that it doesn't take up a lot of space in an open area that people who come to the house can see.

Here are a few of the options I've found, but none of them click for me as being exactly what I'm looking for.

So then I thought maybe an egg carton type of container and some small bowls might do the trick.Farmer's Egg Crate

Atom Art Bowls
But it still isn't exactly what I'm going for...

So for now, it's all laying in a mound of excessive height waiting to be organized. I want to do it in the next few days and would love your tips or tricks! And I'm happy to make or buy something...

How do you store your jewelry so that it's organized, easily accessible, and enables you to quickly figure out how you're going to wear it?

Leave links below if you have them too, please!

I have a jewelry stand that has room for rings, earrings, bracelets and necklaces. It isn't big enough for everything I have but it gets the job done of having everything neatly organized and put away. I'm hoping that I can either get a bigger version or when we move I can have some jewelry drawers built into the closet. :-)

How funny. I just added those bowls to my post for Wed and then opened this and saw them! Love them!

I did a post on this, too :) It should be under my organization tag, but I ended up getting a jewelry armoire. It was still hard to fit it all in there, but it is great storage.

I have a ridiculous amount of jewelry and I have a tackle box that I keep the majority of it in (though it isn't easily visible) plus I have a jewelry stand I store all my necklaces in...again they aren't visible since I keep it closed, but I've seen in etsy someone selling a big wall thing w/hooks to hang all your pieces, it's super expensive but I really liked the idea and thought about it for future.

But also I thought about getting a big cork board and putting push pins in it to hang everything. Not pretty but it'd work.

I actually use the cases you can get at Michaels or Joanns to hold beads or craft supplies.

Mine is in a drawer...not organized or functional... :(

I have my necklaces hanging on the back of my door on a coat rack - not a good idea. I think the metal is discoloring all of my cheap F21 necklaces :(

I've been meaning to do the whole cork board thing...

I use hanging jewelry organizers with the clear pockets for all of mine. You'll probably need more than one, but I like how I can separate all of my jewelry and see it at one time. I don't have to search through anything. And, it's hanging off a hook on the front of our closet so I put it on after I getting dressed. You can find them for about $15 at SteinMart

I've shared a lot of my jewelry organizing solutions on my blog. Check out these three posts!

The first link features my newest jewelry displays. These chicken wire cages are so cute! I have one in my bathroom to organize the jewelry I take off in there.

The last one features a ring holder that I made, but it also shows my bracelet bar, earring frame, and necklace rack. I don't know if you're looking to buy something or make it yourself, but I'm always happy to work on custom pieces. I have several earring frames made and ready to be shipped, but I can also find the perfect frame for you and make you a custom piece.

I have a frame with chicken wire stuff, like the first picture, but I hang my earrings on it. and my necklaces just hang on the corners for now. I saw a super cute knob idea on pinterest for necklaces, but I haven't had time to do it.
