T minus 27 days (and counting)...

My first half marathon is 27 days away.

I ran 10 miles on Saturday. First time in the double digits...ever. I ran 25 miles last week total.

I'm doing a 10k September 11th.

Tim bought me a Garmin for my birthday present (a few weeks early), and I can't wait to get it!

I'm so nervous for the big day (October 1), and I keep reading race reviews from running bloggers and tearing up at their happy stories of their firsts (marathons, halves, etc).

I think I'll probably cry when I finish (shoot, I teared up when I started my first 5k).

I am so motivated on a regular basis, and I can't explain where it is coming from. But, to keep myself going, and to motivate are some wonderful thoughts:

You know I LOVE LOVE LOVE this post, and you are going to ROCK your half! I cried too, btw:) Sometimes, I imagine myself crossing a 26.2 finish and tear up at the mere thought, ha!

This post was super inspiring!! I've started to train for a 5K. I'm so out of shape that this is a big deal for me. My goal is to run a 5K in November. I'm hoping I'm ready by then!! Thank you for this post!!

reading the last picture gave me goosebumps! i really need to get back to couch to 5k. it was so invigorating!
