christmas cheer

For the first time ever, I sent out Christmas cards! My family growing up never sent them, even though my sister wanted to send them every year, so it's not been a tradition for me. I love receiving cards, though, and I realized that if I want to keep getting cards it would also be nice to send some myself! I used 3 boxes of the cutest cards from Target to send to bloggers, friends, and family.

I also setup a little display of the cards on my bar area backed by two sparkly (would you expect anything different) nutcrackers supporting the whole display. In fact, they're so important to the stability that when I knocked on yesterday I ended up having to pick up several cards off the floor.
This will be my last treeless year in Tampa, as Tim and my first Christmas together will absolutely include having our own tree (we've never actually spent Christmas together because our families live hours apart and he has a less than flexible work schedule). I'm also dedicated to putting more thought into my Christmas decor for next year. This year I have quite a bit out, but I need to more thoughtfully place it. Some of your houses are just so incredibly amazing!

I'm packing up and driving to Chattanooga on Wednesday or Thursday, and I'm going wedding dress shopping again tomorrow. Wish me luck!

Are your holidays sending you out of town? Where ya headed? Who's coming to you?

I love your nutcrackers, they are beautiful! I have all of my cards hanging around my doorway to my living room! It adds some festive cheer!

We are actually staying in town for Christmas, but will be going to 3 different houses! It will be busy, but fun!

I loved my card from you! I need all the encouragement I can get for this marathon training. You are so sweet! We are lucky enough to have all our family here so we don't have to travel far at all. I hope you find a dress! It was so fun to try on all kinds of dresses :)

Just lovely! Christmas cards are the best. What is it about snail mail that is so exciting?! Love it. I posted my Ornament Swap review,by the way. Girl, you pegged me, for sure! It's exactly what I would have piced for myself.I got my package right in the middle of finals and it was the only smile on my face that crazy week! Saying I adore what you picked is an understatement! Thank yo so much! Did you receive yours, as well? I sent it a few weeks ago now. We did not send Christmas cards but I'm totally regretting it! I've gotten so many cute cards! Oh well, next year!

I always send cards but this is the first year I got nicer ones with photos b/c it's our first married Christmas. I joined the card swap, you Krystal and Meghan did and I got some of the sweetest cards! Sadly, I need to get a better display system for next year since my wall didn't fit all the cards from family, friends and bloggers, lol.

I loved your card!! I think its a great tradition to do. 1/2 of my family doesn't do it and its so sad!

I bet you can't wait for next years Christmas. Everything will be a first for you. It gets ME excited for you! Go shop for all your decor after the new year. Everything will be ridiculously cheap.

Nothing better than scoring all your next year decorations on the cheap. :)
Merry Christmas!!
