Wedding Wednesday: Registry Favorites

After our engagement party two weekends ago and our shower this past weekend, Tim and I have received a number of very thoughtful and kind gifts. And as I mentioned in my post about the engagement party, it really isn't the gifts that matter at this time; it's the amazing friends and family that we are so blessed to have. The gifts are just the fun addition.

And from what we registered for initially, we've received quite a bit. We may need to add a bit more for spring showers and the wedding. But from what we've received, here are a few of my favorites and why. If you're a bride or soon to be, think about some of what I've received.

And if you're a bride or have recently been, what are some suggestions that you have for things to add that I may not have thought of?
I cheated an bought these pillows off the registry on Tuesday because they're no longer available in store or online, and I happened to find a few after searching high and low. But they're on my registry, so they count. And I love them because they have so many great colors in them and can easily be incorporated into any color scheme.

The Le Creuset line is amazing, and I already love the casserole dish we received from a friend. It's stoneware and distributes heat evenly, and I know Tim will really love it once I use it to cook a casserole or some enchiladas.

I am finally the owner of some All-Clad cookware; the measuring cups and spoons along with the multi-pot are amazing and such fantastic quality.

And from a great family friend, we received our Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer! It's up in Chattanooga waiting on me to drive up for Christmas to bring it home with me. And I can't wait. Tim has been so excited about this one too, because he knows what goodies will come from it!

We received many other fun and beautiful things that I can't wait to use!

Question for you: can I use this stuff before the wedding, or is that bad luck?
And what were some of your favorite registry items that I might think of adding?

And to go along with Wedding Wednesday, we're having our engagement pictures taken today! I can't wait to share some!

I love my le creuset too! :) Use them all the time. I received a lot of registry gifts as Christmas gifts last year since our wedding was in Feb and it gave people ideas as what to get us for the holidays. I used everything pretty much from the moment I got it. My shower was also a month early so I received a lot of things before the big day so I don't think it's bad luck! :D

We didn't use anything until after we were married. It was tough to resist, but we wanted something to be new since we already lived together. It was so fun unpacking everything once we returned from the honeymoon and getting to use all of our new stuff as a married couple! I would definitely recommend it! :)

FUN!! Love that pillow too-- you're right, so many pretty colors. We didn't use any items before the wedding because to be honest, we only started to get gifts delivered like RIGHT before the big day. Fun stuff!!

You have so many great things!! I've been dying for that mixer and that pot!!
I say, go for it. Nothing wrong with using them. Why let them sit there and waste away?

Girl...I am glad that you got those pillows, because they are TOO cute. :)

Hmmmm, I'm kind of superstitious, so I would say save the registry stuff 'til after the big day! :D Plus, that will give you even more to look forward to!

Good luck with your photos! Can't wait to take a peek!

Yes! You should definitely use this stuff before the wedding!

My mom told me to register for as much as possible - so we did silly things like paper shredders and office supplies. I also love my hand-held Dirt Devil and I'm obsessed with my tea kettle!
