New Year Fresh Start!

Happy New Year! I hope you celebrated with friends, family, and loved ones and kicked off the new year in your favorite way!

There's nothing like the feeling of a fresh start! I enjoy so much the idea of what can happen in one year. This one's going to be amazing! I'm getting married!!

And of course, with this fresh start, I just must make my list of goals. I love lists, and I love marking things off.

My 2011 goals were very thorough and a bit too detailed.  But I have to say that I am very thrilled with the progress that I made with them. I am so much healthier and more self aware today than I was one year ago. I have a couple of overarching 2012 goals, but I thought I'd go back to doing monthly goals for myself as I did a few months early last year.

overarching 2012
Pay off my car (excited to finally have this in the realm of possibility).
Run a marathon.
Leave the country on a trip or be in the actual planning process.
Don't exceed my wedding budget.

Save $1200 by cutting back spending and supplementing my income
Buy no Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts, clothes, shoes, accessories
Go 7 days (not straight) without spending any money at all
Count calories every single day on myfitnesspal
Lose 6 pounds (and buy my TOMS)
Continue working out 5-6 times per week
Learn how to do more than one makeup look
Wash my face daily
Keep my house organized
Have 20+ blog posts this month
Download and use 5 photoshop actions

All of these are very doable for me. I'll post back on January 31st.

What are your top 3 goals for the year or for this month?
My top would be counting calories (month), saving money (month/year), and paying off my car (year)

Great goals! I hope you get to pay your car off this year, there is no better feeling than paying that last payment! My top 3 goals this year are to run a marathon (I hope you achieve that same goal!!!), bake a new cupcake a month, and sew more. Happy New Year!

I love your goals! I have some major financial goals, as my husband and I will hopefully buy our first place this year! You are certainly an inspiration!

Those are wonderful goals! I love the idea of doing monthly goals, that way they are far more reachable I think :).

I use to count calories, and it's fantastic!

Great goals! My top ones would be saving money (we have a huge issue with spending) and losing weight. It's been a struggle but I know that 2012 is the year for me!!! Good luck with your marathon training!
