A New Favorite + Weekend Buys

I'm ashamed to admit to you that after this weekend I don't know if I have lived up to my previously claimed title of shopaholic. While I did get my sister's presents and something for Tim, the only sale I took advantage of for myself between Black Friday and Cyber Monday was the buy one get on free Organix Shampoo at Ulta on Black Friday (now they're buy one get one 50% off). I even spent a few minutes Monday night looking for something that I wanted that was on sale just so that I could say that I bought something on Cyber Monday (there was a tassel keychain from JCrew Factory I wanted but didn't bite the bullet in time)! It didn't happen. I fell asleep. I'm not sure what's wrong with my shopping-self lately; that side of me has gone into winter hibernation.
Oh well, I really like this shampoo and the Moroccan Argan oil version, so it was still a pretty great buy. I loaded myself up with a lot of bottles at a drugstore shampoo price.
I posted a vlog when I first bought the full sized bottle of the Moroccan Argan Oil Shampoo, and I promised a review (completely unsponsored and unpaid). I haven't delivered until now, but I thought it would be worth throwing out there that this is a really great shampoo. I noticed the effects particularly after going to Tennessee for Thanksgiving and not bringing this with me. My hair wasn't as soft and frizz-free as it has been since using the Organix. It felt more dried and stripped using Herbal Essences that I've used a lot of in the past. This shampoo has similar benefits to the oil in that it makes your hair soft and easy to comb when getting out of the shower. The coconut flavor smells especially delightful, but I haven't had full sized bottles to use for a full trial. When I get my Ulta order I'll be using those too.

Tim will use whatever I buy and leave in the shower, and for some reason he actually requested this again when I was shopping online on Friday. He saw it and said, "we need more of that." As he's never requested a shampoo or conditioner before, I was surprised and added another set to the order. He mentioned that it makes his hair feel soft too.

Other than this, nothing was bought! There were some good deals, but I didn't have the clicking in me and didn't see anything on many of the sites that I just had to have. I have since found two things I would like and might buy for myself.

1. Oakley Overtime running sunglasses I don't know if they were doing anything for Black Friday or Cyber Monday, but I can only hope I didn't miss out.
2. PerfectFit Protein They were having a sale, and I missed out big time. I'm still considering buying some, because I'm having non-buyers remorse.
Tell me what you bought! I would share what I bought for my sister and Tim, but they read the blog.

What did you buy for yourself? What did you buy for others? Did you finish your shopping?

Oraganix coconut milk products are my favorite!! LOVE their shampoo and conditioner, and I tell people that you get that clean, soft hair feeling just from the shampoo even before you condition. And it smells amazing.
I use their mousse, too. You can put tons of it and it doesn't get crunchy or gross. Love it!

I didn't buy too much either. Some LOFT (everything was 50% off) and a few other things. I had to check out the Organix shampoo at Ulta. They were out of the moroccan argan oil and I also wanted to try the Acai berry/avocado but it was out of stock. Oh well. I am going to try the coconut milk and the tea tree oil varieties. Thanks for the heads up!

I bought absolutely nothing. What a travesty. Actually, I don't like shopping at all. Maybe when I get back in shape, but for right now, it's always a Debbie-downer. :(

I may need to buy that shampoo because my hair is getting thinner and longer and it needs a boost for life!!! I am chopping off 8 inches soon so I get to start over :) I do love the price of cheap shampoo though. I find conditioner though sometimes leaves my hair oily if I mess with it.

I've been wondering about that shampoo. Maybe I'll try it now! I love that Tim likes it too :)

I did some shopping but I'm not done. I may be giving away a pair of oakley's on my blog in the next couple weeks!

I'll have to give that shampoo a try, I'm always looking for a new kind. Like one of them will give me the beautiful shiny hair of my dreams ha!

I did get all of my shopping done, yay! I blogged about it too, the link is http://lifewithyou.net/2012/11/28/need-some-gift-ideas/ if you are interested!

I wish I had seen the shampoo deal on Ulta's website! The only item I purchased was my CHI. I am SO excited to use it:)

I tried one of the Organix shampoos before, and I didn't like it. It actually dried my hair out and made it horribly hard to comb through. This was also about 5 yr ago and they were only $2-3 then! They're much more expensive now. I may give them another chance when time to buy again.
I am considering a good pair of sunglasses. I always cheap out and buy target/fossil outlet ones because I break them ALL THE TIME, but I really want to get some that have UV/glare resistant lenses. No more squinting! I am getting some serious eye wrinkles. UGH.

I just want you to know that although I really don't venture out and try new products I've heard several good things about this shampoo and I want some. This is coming from the girl who really only uses least expensive shampoo/conditioner I can get which used to be herbal essance or pantene or something. But then I ran out and Chris had pert plus so I started using that and honestly my hair felt softer and healthier than any thing else I had been using. So pert plus it has been for a long time now. All that to say- fancy shampoo is a big jump for me but really it was Tim's endorsement that convinced me to try it. I figure he's not a girly man and if he will endorse such a thing it must make a difference. Tell him thanks for me. I'll let you know what I think when I finally get to the store to get some.
