Friday's Letters: The I'm stuck edition

Another round of Friday's Letters means another week has come to an end. This has been a pretty busy week with a bunch of commitments to take care of, plus getting back to working out has taken some figuring out! I'm ready for this weekend to relax and catch up on life. Here are this week's letters.

Dear Polar FT4, I've had fun playing with you so far this week. Now I'm just trying to decide if wearing you at the same time as my Garmin would make me look like a crazy person. Probably, right? Dear first run back, you were amazing, and I wasn't expecting it. I thought my legs would feel tired and heavy, but I felt light and speedy. I'm thankful for that. Dear Old Navy, thanks for the cute workout top options that are very lululemon-esque with Old Navy prices. They were a fun addition.
Doesn't the top look like lululemon? If you click and check out the back you can tell too.
Dear readers, I'm stuck in workout land and can't for the life of me come out of it in terms of content. I need something to pull me out of this stupor so that I can continue to maintain the balance between running/workout blogger and style/lifestyle blogger. Any ideas? Dear January, it was really nice this month not to have a car payment. I now need to devote that extra money to savings or student loans instead of buying little things here or there. Dear Sean Lowe, do we really need to see the whole show? I'm fairly certain your last two choices are going to be Des and Leslie (don't worry, I haven't read spoilers...those are just my thoughts). And though I really like Leslie, we have a little work pool on the show, and I'll win if Des gets picked, so I'd be okay with that too. Dear running, I commented on someone else's blog that that I couldn't even begin to list all of the things that running has done for me, and it's true. I'm so thankful that I started running and that I am able to do it today. It has changed me in such an amazing way. Dear Tim, We finally have one show in common that we like to watch! And almost two! I'm excited to finally be able to watch things together that we're both equally excited about! I love you. You're the best. Oh, and four days ago we were married six months! Happy six months a few days late...oops. We both forgot.
What's something non-workout-related that you'd want to read about?
Where is your favorite place to buy workout clothes?
Why are you excited it's Friday?

old navy has had some awesome picks as you have found! I love lulu lemon but you know how they are so $$ but it is quality items. often times i go to TJMaxx/ marshells and find lots of great work out clothes for a great price. it is awesome! glad your first run back was great... i am in a little running funk but cannot wait for the temps not to be freezing here in Minnesota so I can go on nice long runs again!

How long have you been running? I began running almost two years ago. I have to let it go on the super cold mornings, but love to get out there. I'll have to look up the Polar. I was looking at Garmins, but can't see spending that much. I get my workout clothes from outlets usually.

Happy Friday!

i LOVE that ON top. Will have to run out and add it to my way-too-large athletic clothing collection. ANd Happy ANniversary!

I have all kinds of brands in my giant drawer (dedicated to workout gear). Most of it is Nike, but mostly because it's the pieces that go on sale most often and I am a cheapskate. I would like to try the Old Navy line, but everytime I go, they are out of my sizes. Oiselle is really one of my favorite styled workout clothes, but so far I haven't pulled the trigger yet - need a good sale to come around ;)

Running...runnang...runnn... love it. haha!

Hey! Stopping by from the link-up! I totally agree with you on the Bachelor predictions --- it's usually so obvi who they like the best. I also refuse to watch it live so I can fast forward through all the boring parts :)

Stop by sometime!

I loooove Old Navy workout gear. It is inexpensive (esp if you find it on clearance!) and works pretty well. Of course Lulu is much better quality... but still.

and I totally wear my garmin and my polar when I run. One on each wrist! I look mostly at my garmin for pace/distance but peek at my HR mostly on interval days. On long runs I just tuck the polar in don't look at it until I want to see my calories at the end! Who cares if I look crazy staring at both my wrists! haha.

You should do a fitness fashion series! Maybe a link up or something!

I feel like you're a very stylish person so maybe posting outfits or jewelry you're wearing/loving at the moment might tip the scales a bit to the lifestyle side!

Cute top! I have a variety but I guess I mostly have Nike, I always find the best deals at Macy's or the outlet. My Garmin came with a HRM, I guess they all don't? I feel like I've been in the same blog rut. What about a date night post including your favorite outfit and what you did.

Hmm...yeah it can be hard if there's not much going on in life aside from working out and working. I just don't post much if I'm not feeling it. Hope you find some inspiration soon!

I'd like to hear about your favorite place. What makes you like it: the beauty? a special memory? something else? Include some photos :)

My favorite place is this large discount store in the Bay Area called Sports Basement. It is a really dangerous place for my credit card.

I'm so excited to find your blog! I have had to take off a month of running due to bronchitis (I think I ran once two weeks ago and coughed up a lung) and I am freaking out getting back on the road tomorrow. I know it is going to be sooo slow. Can't wait to read more of your posts.

I am actually wearing an Old Navy workout top as I write this! I wore it to a Bar Method class. They're adorable and affordable!

So glad you are back to the running! I can't wait to read more about your half PR training!

If blogging about working out and fitness is what you enjoy most, keep doing it! You have to blog about what you are interested in. Just like I blog about fashion. :)
