Friday's Letters

I love Friday's Letters. It's one of my favorite posts each week, because it gives me the chance to think back on all the things I'm thankful for as well as share little tidbits that I didn't get to mention throughout the rest of the week. This week has turned out to be a phenomenal week. After a bit of a stressful weekend, things are just working out so perfectly, and this upcoming weekend is sure to be so much fun!

Dear Tim, I hope you have a wonderful weekend off of work. Enjoy hanging out with your friends, and spend some time relaxing; don't work the whole time you're home. I wish I was going to be home to spend time with you, but I know you'll enjoy having some you time. I love you! Dear Princess Half, I can't wait to come play this weekend with Tori, Genna, Meghan, and Caitlyn. We're going to have a ball, and I don't even really care about the temperatures. My only goal is to take as many character pictures as I possibly can. I've never taken pictures with characters at a RunDisney race, and I've done three now! The time has come!
Dear Target, thank you so so much for having that cute red chevron suit in stock that I've been eyeing online for days. Most of the time when I head into the store to look for suits, it's very picked over. This time, victory is mine!
Dear meal planning, my goodness you made my week amazing. Having all of my meals ready to eat whenever I wanted was beyond nice. That 3 hours I spend doing all the prepping on Monday was 100% worth it. Dear Chicago Marathon, I cannot wait to run in October! It's still a long ways away, but that's okay! I'll still look forward to you. Dear Buxom lipgloss in dolly, I get so many compliments when I wear you, and I love the way you feel on my lips! You'll definitely be a lipgloss I repeat purchase.
Dear Old Navy, you're good. Your clothes right now are really making me want to purchase, and purchase a lot. I'm still holding my trigger finger, but that blue tube dress almost got me.
Dear girls' weekend girls, I cannot wait to play this weekend. Between an expo, dressing up like a princess, going to a Disney park, and running a half, I'm already excited. I've got to admit I feel a little like we're reliving college life whereby cramming too many people into a room and probably staying up a bit later than we should.
me, Meghan, Tori, Genna, and Caitlyn
Dear Mary, I can't believe how much I already feel like I've improved since hiring you to coach me. Your training plans are no joke; I'm working harder now than I did during marathon training, without a doubt. The fact that I'm going to hit around 35 miles this week scares me (in a good way) for what your marathon plan is going to look like. Thanks for the encouragement and for pushing me! Dear everything that was stressing me out this week, good riddance! I'm so glad things all worked out and I can head into this weekend worry free.

Dear readers, I was very bad about responding to comments and emails this week and reading your blogs. I'm going to get back on track next week. With every comment I receive, I read it carefully and smile at the thoughtfulness, advice, and words that you share. I promise that there isn't a single one that I don't appreciate.

And I'd love some advice. I'm looking for a new point and shoot camera. There are two that cnet has good things to say about that are less than $200, but I'd love to hear your thoughts on these two or a suggestion for another.

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-WX150

Panasonic Lumix SZ7

A couple of random questions for you:
1. What are you looking forward to about this weekend?
2. What is a food you could eat every meal and probably never get sick of?
3. What's your main running goal right now? To get started? To run a mile? To PR a half? To BQ?

Such a cute bathing suit! I can never get the Target suits - never look right on me! I have a very odd build (for a woman). I joke to my husband and family that I am built like a teenage boy.

And my running goal is actually to get to 13 miles by the end of the year. I just started running last year and my goal was the 5k. Now I have my eye on 13 miles. I've done over 4 so far.... looking forward to 5 miles on Sunday!

You are welcome! I know you have so much potential in you! We just need to put it all on the right track so every aspect of your talent shows up on race day :)

And thanks for including me ;)

I love Friday's Letters. This is my second Friday doing it :)

I would definitely go with the Sony. I had a Sony cyber shoot before I upgraded to my Canon, but I still use it! I've had it for almost 6 years and I've never had a problem with it.

1. I'm looking forward to having 3 days of just studying.
2. I could probably eat cereal 5 times a day and never get sick of it.
3. My main running goal is to get back into long distance running. I did a half marathon in November then a 5k in December then took a break. I'm doing a mud run in April and it's a 4 mile obstacle course so I definitely need to build my endurance back up!

Great Post Meghan! Have a great time at the Princess Half and yes, take as many pics as possible and just have fun. As far as your camera goes. Sony can sometimes be a little hard to operate and they use an inferior lens to Lumix. I personally would go with the Lumix.

I'm so jealous that you are running the princess this weekend - its one of my dream races!! Right now I'm hoping to PR my half in April. I'm a little behind in my training plan... dang snow storm! But I'm thinking about investing in a treadmill... and hope that will help get me back on track!

I have the Buxom mascara and love it.. even talked about it today. haha but the lipgloss, I might need to acquire that soon. I'm always up for a good tinted lipgloss.

Is it sticky?

I'm so proud of you for all your meal prepping! It does take a lot of planning but you're right it is totally worth it! I need to get back into that habit. Wait, ha, I'm about to have a baby- probably not gonna happen. Oh well. It was great reminder that I need to start doing it again someday :)

Cheers on actually getting that bathing suit! It is ADORABLE! And you are right I can NEVER find my size in bathing suits at target.

I actually got flexed off work today so I got to catch up on a bunch of cleaning and chores around the house. Not super exciting, but needed to get done :)

What is a BQ? I first read it as BBQ and thought- yes! My main goal right now is to eat BBQ...but I don't think that is what you meant...

Oh and Tim, I hope you enjoy your weekend!!!

Instead of texting my daughter pertaining to laundry, I accidentally texted a co-worker from trade and it autocorrected to whores.
