High Five: It's Friday!

First of all, I just need a moment to relish the fact that it's actually Friday. I haven't had a week where I was wishing for this day so much in quite a while. Every year right before spring break I get really stressed with all kinds of things going on. I always forget how stressed I get until it approaches again, and I always promise myself once it's over that I won't let it happen again the following year. But, here we are again, in the cyclical process of the pre-spring break stress. At this point it's just one of those close your eyes and wait until it's over periods. I know I'll make it through, and next Friday can't come soon enough.
To put that in the back of my mind, I decided instead of writing my normal Friday's Letters today I would focus on the good things that have happened this week and the things that I'm especially excited about. After all, in the midst of all of my stress and anxiety I've still got so much great stuff going on that keeps me upbeat.

1. Speedy Runs On Tuesday I had an awesome, awesome tempo run. I did 25 minutes at 7:56/mile. I am beyond thrilled with those numbers. I wouldn't have dreamed it even a month ago. 2. Inspirational Tshirts My I Run This Body shirt came in the mail yesterday, and I wore it out last night for 4 miles at race pace. The saying on that shirt is so inspirational, and I love the message behind it. I do run this body, and I'm excited that I'm able to make positive choices.

3. Products to support my social media addiction My phone is really old, and when I carry it around with me during the day I tend to use it a lot. The battery drains quickly, and I hate being left without a phone for safety but also for my constant need to check it. I was excited to get this Jonathan Adler on the go phone charger to keep in my purse for days like that. 4. New Race Types I was so excited to find a duathlon in the area. Since I (still) don't have a bike I'm not able to enter triathlons, so when I found a swimming and running event I was way more excited than I should have been. I signed up and will be doing this event in May with Tori and several other girls I know. I can't wait to try a multisport race!

5. Twitter Contest. Last night after the ZOOMA chat, they announced that I had won their Favorite Things giveaway! I'll receive three surprise items in the mail, which only adds to my excitement. Pairing together a giveaway and a surprise package and I'm a happy girl. I'll be sure to share what I receive. I'm looking forward to it. 6. eBay sales! I listed a whole bunch of stuff last weekend and it's selling! Now I want to go through my whole house to find everything that I don't want anymore that someone else might want. I will do that this weekend in addition to the other stuff that I need to get done. It's been fun checking the mobile app throughout the week for updates!
