Weekly Workouts Roundup 4/22-4/28

This was a moderate week for me. I won't say that it was bad, but it wasn't good either. I can't remember why I didn't get up and moving on Monday. I'm not sure there was a reason. I walked the dog we were pet sitting around the neighborhood, but I didn't go to a Boston run because I hadn't heard back about the MRI yet and I didn't want to run when I wasn't supposed to...

Monday: OFF
Tuesday: I did a 55 minute weights session including core, arms, and legs.
Wednesday: 1500 yards of swimming, 15 minutes of pool running, and a 7 mile bike ride.
Thursday: I found out that I had the stress fracture, which was a complete shock and surprise, and I came home frustrated and sat instead of doing anything.
Friday: I thought about getting up to workout early, because I knew with several things in the afternoon and evening planned I wouldn't have time for anything, but it just didn't happen.
Saturday: I cycled 22.38 miles from my house to and on a nearby trail and back.
Sunday: I swam 1600 yards and pool jogged by 30 minutes and burned 610 calories to boot. I was happy with that this weekend.

My goal for this week is to take only 1 rest day and to bike, swim, aquajog, or do upper body weights every other day. I'm not supposed to do anything that puts weight on my foot, so no lower body weights...

How were your workouts this week? Kat ran her 6th half marathon in 6 months this morning, so she'll be posting later. Linkup with us below!

I only started running in February and finally got to where I can run for 8 minutes, haha! I have a 5K (Color Me Rad) on Saturday and I'm hoping to be able to run/jog most of it. Reading your posts makes me want to get into swimming and luckily I live in an apartment complex with a pool, so I just have to wait a month to swim for free :)

Oh no! I missed your stress fracture news while we were traveling this week... I'm so sorry. :( That is such frustrating news- I've been there. At least you can bike, do weights, and swim... you'll maintain your fitness, but I know how hard it is. Great job on the 22 mile bike ride!

Great week even through your injury. Swimming and water jogging sound like great activities to do in the meantime!

I wish I could join your round up but unfortunately I had a crappy workout week. I probably only got my sweat on twice. Maybe. I sit here typing while my son is hacking up a lung. First Sophia then Kade. It never ends. :) Makes it hard to keep a schedule. I will have to do better this week!! Thanks for the inspiration and good luck with your injury.

Great job on still staying active. It's such a motivational suck when bad news comes creeping along, but you've definitely got your plan lined up. I am looking at bikes! Just regular road cheap ones to learn on. :X squeeee! Maybe I'll get comfortable enough to come ride sometime soon - and swim. We can have a swim/bike workout!
