2. Also on Wednesday I went to the Mad Dogs triathlon club and met Beth and Tori for the open water swim. It's the perfect time of year: when I breathed to the right I looked at the setting sun, and when I breathed to the left I saw the beach and the beach houses lining the sand. I love swimming so much, and I've become particularly fond of open water swimming, so to me it just doesn't get much better than this. It was a great way to spend some time on my birthday.
3. One of the things I asked for for my birthday was a cycling top from SOAS. I was a little late in the game to picking it out, but I can't wait for this beauty to arrive. I'm planning to buy myself the matching arm warmers, because as I'm training for the September Ironman I know I'll be out on some cold ride this winter. I also added the triathlon kit to my Christmas wish list, and I'm excited at the possibility of expanding my cycling wardrobe.
4. On Tuesday the person in line in front of me at Starbucks paid for my order! It was such a surprising and exciting find when I pulled up to the window, so I passed back the favor and paid for the person behind me. That person's order ended up being less than mine as it turned out, so it was a win for me in two ways!
5. I decided on Monday that I'm going to have a combined Stella & Dot and Jamberry Nails party in November, and both of the reps agreed to host a giveaway here! I'm so excited, because I love both of the lines so much. I know the party will be fun too! I'm in love with the chevron mint nails below, and I already ordered 4 different designs to start wearing before the party. The new Stella & Dot holiday line makes me want to order before my party...
I've just been in an overall really happy mood lately. I don't know what exactly it is, but I'm not going to question it. I'm really lucky and blessed in my life right now, and I'm thankful for that.
Tonight I'm getting together with some friends to celebrate my birthday, and on Sunday I'm doing a 64 mile bike ride.
I've been raising money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, and I'm just $55 short of my $200 goal for the ride. If you would like to donate, I'd really appreciate it, and you can do so at this link.
Enjoy your weekend! What are you up to?
